From Mayette at 10:47PM PST.

Dwight Schrute decided the spread the Christmas spirit and share Schrute family Christmas traditions in his new blog entry at Schrute-Space:

December 25, 09:15 AM
A Schrute Family Christmas

Froehliche Weihnachten faithful readers! Many of you have requested I divulge information regarding the Schrute family’s annual Christmas traditions. Initially I thought, what my family does in the privacy of our compound does not concern you, but then I had a change of heart after watching a special Christmas television program with Mose. In the program, a skinny green monster impersonated Santa Claus, broke into the homes of an entire village, and repeatedly committed felony burglary. I realized that this sort of lawless behavior is lauded by our society as exemplifying the “Christmas spirit” and it made me sick. So rather than stand by idly and watch mankind continue to emulate the skinny green Christmas monster, I’ve decided to share my family’s Christmas customs in the hopes that they may serve to exemplify the true meaning of the “Christmas spirit.” ...

From Trina and Mayette at 10:44 PM PST.

Hey, everyone! Well, we're back from our trip to San Francisco yesterday, and we have a great recap for you. Let's get this started, shall we?

The seating is first come, first serve, and lord knows we love to start the line! So we got there at 6, 45 minutes before they started letting people in. And seriously, less than a minute after getting there, Craig came out with a group of people who turned out to be part of his band. And so Mayette and I are all, "...?! Should we talk to him WHAAT??!" Because OBVIOUSLY we should but we decided to not interrupt. The guys he was talking to left after a minute so we went up to him and introduced ourselves. Mayette had sent him a message earlier in the week to ask if he was going to be around for pictures/meeting people after the show and he remembered her when she told him about it. He asked if we were from SF and when we told him we came from Sacramento he was like, "that's awesome, thanks for driving out." and we're all, "duh!"

So then he goes, "let's take pictures now, while I'm pretty." which he emphasized by fluffing his hair, so Trina says, "FIERCE" and Mayette says, "Yeah, you're looking hella pretty" and we took a bunch of weird pictures:

A random series:

Mayette got a fantastic series about a couple in love:

So then we asked him to sign Trina's DVDs and Mayette's Paley board, and we told him about FNW. So he took out his blackberry and was all, "what's it called? I'm gonna text it to myself so I won't forget it" and he typed in the address and our names. We talked for a little more, and by then two other people had showed up so we let them say hi before he went back inside.

We were very happy.

SO THEN, we were hanging out in line, and Mayette got up to take a picture of the club while no one was outside. And right when she took the picture the door opened and Craig came out again and was all, "I think I'm gonna go get a drink before the show. Wanna go get some drinks?" But since we're the ripe old age of 20 we had to take a rain check.

The picture Mayette was taking when Craig came out again.

Blah blah blah waiting for the show, then the show!

It was fantastic, and Darryl-esque. Why? Because he had a band, and he was on keyboard, and he played tons of songs. Oh, and the band was also Darryl's band in 'Goodbye Toby', FYI! He impersonated Barry White and yelled at the light guy for not making him look sexy enough on stage. And if someone missed a beat or something he'd hit the keyboard. He played "white people music" like Grease, the song he wants to come out to on his wedding day, and I Will Survive for the women. The set was interactive in that he had men and women sing their respective parts. BUT ALSO? Towards the end he was all, "some of you might know this--" and BAM HE STARTED PLAYING THE OFFICE THEME and it was amaaaaazing.

So after, there was a big line for people getting a picture with him, but we're not sweating it because ALREADY GOT PICTURES. But we talked to him before leaving to say his show was fantastic and he was all, "Yeah? Was it worth the trip?" and we we're basically all "TOTES!". And then he gave us hugs and thanked us again and told us to have a safe drive and to rock on.

And then we left.

But we got a picture of the pretty, pretty city before going home.

Oh, and here's Trina's season four dvds that he signed, and Mayette's Paley board:

Just when you thought San Francisco had enough funny lined up for January, Craig Robinson decides to stop by Cobb’s Comedy Club for two nights!

January 2nd—3rd, 2009— Friday-Saturday
Craig Robinson
From “The Office”

Known as “Darryl Philbin” on NBC’s hit show “The Office,” Craig Robinson has also appeared in the feature films “Zack and Miri Make a Porno”, “Pineapple Express”, “Knocked Up” and “Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story.” His extraordinary material, delivery and stage presence at the 1998 Montreal “Just For Laughs” Festival got him noticed by the Fox Broadcasting Company, which wasted no time in giving Craig a development deal. Craig won the Oakland Comedy Competition that same year.

Since 1998, Craig has made television appearances on Comedy Central’s “Premium Blend,” NBC’s “Late Friday” and “Comedy Showcase,” HBO’s “Def Comedy Jam,” VH1’s “The List,” UPN’s “Vibe” (hosted by Sinbad), HBO’s “Real Time with Bill Maher,” and “Jimmy Kimmel Live” on ABC. Let me throw another site update at you tonight--we've added your TWSS moments to the That's What She Said Memorial. Thanks to the wonderful gals who are ever aware of their surroundings. Keep 'em coming! ;)

Also, let me just say that Trina & I had a borderline epic one today in the shampoo aisle of Target. Go read, and be merry!!

From Trina and Mayette at 10:38 PM PST.

Just a couple of quick questions:
- Do you like Kate Flannery?
- Do you like Oscar Nunez?
- Do you like funny things?
- Will you be in the vicinity of San Francisco on January 17th and 18th?

If your answer to all of the above is YES, then listen up!

Kate Flannery recently posted in her myspace blog that she will be performing with Oscar Nunez and The Lampshades at San Francisco's Sketchfest. It's basically a two-week sketch comedy festival with tons of great actors and comedians. Here's some specific info for you all!

January 17th
WHAT: Totally Looped featuring Laraine Newman, Maria Bamford, Oscar Nunez, Rick Overton, Joe Liss and Richard Kuhlman with The Lampshades featuring Kate Flannery and Scot Robinson
WHERE: The Eureka Theatre at 8PM
TICKETS: $20, Here!

WHAT: Theme Park Improv Show
with Scott Adsit ("30 Rock"), Oscar Nunez ("The Office"), Kate Flannery ("The Office"), Jessica Makinson ("Halfway Home"), Janet Varney ("Dinner and a Movie"), Cole Stratton (MTV's "Yo Momma") with Two Headed Dog: Dave (Gruber) Allen, Craig Anton, Mark Fite and Jim Turner
WHERE:The Eureka Theatre at 10:30PM
TICKETS: $20, Here!

January 18th
WHAT: Totally Looped featuring Laraine Newman, Maria Bamford, Oscar Nunez, Rick Overton, Joe Liss and Richard Kuhlman
WHERE: Christopher B. Smith Rafael Film Center at 7:30PM
TICKETS: $20, Here!

Tickets for all the events are still available, I do believe. Mayette and I are seeing both shows on the 17th, and we're super excited. Is anyone planning on going? Um, because you should.

HEY. So that computer problem I thought was close to being fixed is... not fixed. Sorry news has been so slow because of it. With my internet free time, I've been working on adding to the episode guides, and so far 'Gay Witch Hunt' through 'Diwali' are up! I'll keep working on things to update with when I get internet access, so keep an eye out. Thanks for visiting and I swear, we'll be back to up and running at full speed as soon as we can!!

Mindy breaks it down for the holidays

Mindy's updated

From Mayette at 2:42PM PST.

Mindy’s updated <a href="http://www.thingsiboughtthatilove.com" target=new">things i bought that i love with her holiday gift ideas, separated into price ranges, of course:

Holiday Ideers & Notions

I love suggesting presents. Sometimes Gene, widely considered the most stylish guy on our staff, will ask me for advice on gifts, and it’s so exciting. To be even be considered a tastemaker in any small sense is a great compliment to a vapid person whose priorities are all wrong. So I made of this list more for me than for anyone else. (By the way, New York Magazine always puts out an amazing annual issue devoted entirely to finding gifts in any budget. I would get that, if you’re stumped.) I sorted them into present ideas for three different price ranges: grad student, a young professional, and Ben Silverman. Enjoy!

1. You are a grad student at NYU. You live in a 4th floor walk up in Bed-Stuy which you share with your adorable girlfriend. You eat tons of ethnic food, you wear corduroy a lot, and you carry a thermos everywhere.

Get your girlfriend these little Marc by Marc Jacobs gold zipper earrings. They’re adorable. I can take whimsy in doses as small as this.

Price: $68 at bloomingdales.com

Do you want to get laid? If your answer is yes, invest in some roller skates for your girl.

I am really bad at skating, and I have countless scrapes and bad memories from doing it. However, nothing says you think of your girl like a sexy pre-teen ingenue than a pair of dope skates. Price: $70 at fredflare.com

Keep your girl looking high-fashion even if she’s making pennies doing Teach For America in this incredibly cool Diane von Furstenberg scarf.

I love DVF. She’s such a badass, further demonstrating that a woman can be utterly buttoned up and sexy as hell (Joan Holloway from Mad Men could be a poster girl from DVF this fall). And her colors this past fall and spring (electric blue! dark kelly green!) are perfect for presents because they’re such an announcement. It’s such a cool shape and combination of colors. Also, it’s on crazy sale for $70 at dvf.com.

2. You are doing pretty good. If you didn’t buy coffee everyday from Starbucks or spend so much money on shoes you might even break 75k, which is pretty sweet even if you’re not crazy about your job. You’re mostly excited about your health benefits.

Nothing says “I want to whisk you away for a sexy vacation” than an old timey traveling trunk. I love travel accessories.

To me, suitcases are the new bedding in terms of things I like to splurge on. And this isn’t even too splurgey. It’s $250 from vivre.com. I also cannot speak more highly about this bikini from Tibi. Look, I know people are like: “only wear black bikinis” because they are the most flattering. But I’m like, the bikini itself is a celebration of boldness and high self-esteem! Why dampen the spirit of them with something boring! Tibi offers a more affordable version of a Pucci-ish print and this one, the Nashota, looks totally hot on. $190 at revolveclothing.com

3. You are Ben Silverman. Even in this economy and weather, you are rocking Yohji Yamamoto raw silk shirts (the kind that’s so expensive the silk worm is like, still clinging to it) and taking private yoga lessons with Gwyneth Paltrow. Knight Rider might not be doing great, but even if you’re sweating, no one can’t tell because of your sweet Clive Christian cologne. Things are good.

When your girlfriend is drying her body after a stint in your Japanese bath, let her do it in Missoni.

Missoni 5 piece towel set: $250

You’re girlfriend is as precious to you as Cleopatra, everyone can see it, but her. “My eyebrows are weird!” She asserts. “My hair is too stringy and thin!” Introduce her to her inner North African queen with this MCL by Matthew Campbell Laurenza blue topaz and yellow sapphire bracelet.

Yellow sapphires?? C’mon, how awesome is that? I am a total sucker for when gemstones are the NOT in the color they are traditionally in (ie. the blue diamond in “Titanic”, orange rubies, etc..) $1900 at neimanmarcus.com

And finally:

A ruffled satin Prada bag from the resort collection. Unsane. $1295 at bergdorfgoodman.com I saw this at neiman marcus over Thanksgiving (my mom and I were walking through Neiman’s to get to the Food Court for burritos, full disclosure) and I made her come to the super luxe Prada bag section where it was just us two and this very serious well-dressed Persian lady who totally knew we weren’t going to buy anything. I made a big show of it like, “Oh, I would totally buy this, but it’s not exactly right.” and pretended like it was completely fine to drop over a thousand dollars on a non-functional ruffle purse. She didn’t buy it. But you can!

Since this is related to something from tonight's episode, 'Moroccan Christmas', and not everyone might have seen it yet, I'll put this behind a cut.The Princess Unicorn official website is available for your perusing. Want testimonials from desperate Dad's in the office? They're there. Want photos? T-shirts? Then click click click! And look at the cautions on the first page:

Caution:
    * Wash hands thoroughly after handling Princess Unicorn.
    * Do not play with Princess Unicorn if you are allergic to lead based paint.
    * The spike on Princess Unicorn is incredibly sharp, so Princess Unicorn can pierce the sky. It can also pierce your skin. Handle with care.

I love it. Don't you love it?

From Trina at 10:15 PM PST.

I bet right now you're thinking, "you know who I'd like to read a blog from? Angela Kinsey!" ...That is exactly what you were thinking, right? Okay, well I'm gonna assume it was, so here's her latest myspace blog:

Greetings Dunderheads!

Hello Dunderheads,
how are you guys? It's been a long time since my last blog so I thought today I'd share a few little moments....

1-We are having a real thermostat war on set. It is the guys against the gals. The girls keep putting little heaters everywhere and some how they end up blowing warm air right in Brian's direction. Then the guys move them. Then we freeze and we move them back. Fascinating, I know but it is freezing on this set! Jenna, Kate, Phyllis, Mindy and I are determined to win this weird game of wills.

2-We now have a ping pong table set up in the warehouse set. There are some pretty serious games going on over there.

3-Our hot snack for the day: hot dogs and soup.

4-Oscar bought Isabel a little hoodie sweatshirt! And a little dress (which she wore for Thanksgiving). He loves to buy her clothes. I will show up to work and there will be a little bag with a note in it from him. It's adorable.

5-I am still pumping all day!!! (TWSS)

6-Nbc.com loaned me a camera to film behind the scenes stuff for them but all I do is film Isabel. :/ Sorry nbc.com. I promise to film something soon.

7-We talk about food a lot lately? Is that because it is the holidays or that it's colder or something? Karen (in our wardrobe department is from Ireland) told me about an Irish dish called "A Dublin Lawyer". It's poached lobster in a whiskey sauce.

8-Oscar is watching Wu Shu training on youtube. Oh and he is obsessed with 52 Blocks. He just told me not to explain 52 Blocks to you. He says you'll figure it out.

9-In last week's episode, there will definitely be a scene on the gag reel. Rainn, Ed and I could not get through the scene where Dwight tells us directions to Schrute Farms. We all kept losing it! And Rainn kept making up more and more ridiculous directions. We were a mess.

10-We were all sitting on set between scenes and Creed yelled frantically, "Help! Help me!" We all jumped up thinking something was very wrong with him. Turns out his computer was frozen. :p

11-Movies we're talking about on set: Slumdog Millionaire. Revolution Road.

12-My Christmas Tree scene in this week's episode was a lot of fun. I did it in two takes. I had the bruises and scratches to prove it and I was so proud of them. I kept showing them to people like they were some kind of trophy. I love doing physical comedy.

Oh and my friend's mom told me that I had random music on my profile page. I don't know how that happened. I'm not making any kind of statement with my music choice. It is supposed to be The Office theme song. ;)

Ya'll have a good week!
